Yes, I'm hoping to get all of six those cards in the next few years.

Hahah i have also seen an smart credit card- where youre able to swipe all your cards into one. Once you go out and pay for something you can have the smart card switch cards and the card you choose will be charged..

I looked at the Wallaby one. $40 per year is reasonable if you have a lot of cards. I have the free app.

What I didn't like is that while it can rank cash back easily, it's not as good about comparing the value of points. I also don't know if it would measure the benefit of free shipping, etc.

It might also lead to reporting more balances each month than I want. There is no substitute for simply knowing the terms of each and every card. I can see more use in a mobile wallet where you indicate the card and can see it on your screen before you pay.

I'd also be a bit afraid of it misdirecting a major transaction on which I'd want to earn a lot of points. I'm not sure how you could use it online or in any non-swiping situation as it lacks a major payment network (I think).

There may be better variants and competing products.

my coworker, was planing on getting the "coin" one- at the end i convinced him it was a waste and what was the point of showing of his cards if hes just going to sync then into one...

Maybe he values convenience over showiness?

It looks like the default blue is the favorite so far...

I kept the Discover it - blue card for a long time, then I finally changed it to the Mix Tape look. I wish there were more options, even though I like it better than the default. My wife also changed her it card to the red daisy card.

As far as pretty and ugly cards go... I like the Amex charge cards, they're very classic. Also, blue is my favorite color, and I love the color of my Freedom card. I like simple :) I think my SunTrust Rewards card is hideous. It's a World MC, so it's a different color from what's on their website. It's a combo of Black and Olive... gross. I have mixed feelings about my BCE. It's pretty cool, but I think it could look better, too.
Arsenal:
Discover it [3/12, $2,500]
Amex BCE [5/13, $25,000, bd 9/12]
Chase Freedom [1/13, $5,500]
SunTrust Cash Rewards [4/14, $7,000]
Bank of America Travel Rewards [9/15, $6,000]

Blue is nice, but all my cards except PRG are a mix of blue, white, and silver. So I don't dislike the Discover blue design so much as I figure variety could be nice.

I haven't seen that particular style of SunTrust card, but the ones I have seen are somewhat ugly already in silver. Black and olive does sound pretty awful.

Garnet's what I have and why I selected "None of the above" but polling on matters of preference is kinda pointless to me. You should really choose whatever design you prefer versus relying on popularity IMO. If you can't decide among the options you've narrowed it down to then randomly select one.

I'm just curious about it (as with any new tech) so I'm sticking with the preorder/beta. Their original timing was already tight with the looming liability shift but now they're really about to release a quickly obsolete product with their delays.

CarefulBuilder14 wrote:Completely ignoring the AFs, rewards, service, and overall value of credit cards, what do people think are the ones with the nicest designs on them? The ugliest? Or not necessarily ugly but a bit weird or awkward to carry around? You don't necessarily have to have the card.

I also generally like the designs of AmEx and Chase but they certainly have their exceptions. The TrueEarnings looks to me like they swiped a low res image off the internet. I'd like the BCP better if it was actually clear. The Freedom isn't horrid but it's not an outstanding design.

None of those are as ugly as PenFed's Cash Rewards or as plain as USAA's EMV MasterCard.

Can't say that I find any to be weird or awkward to carry around and I don't think commenting on a card that I don't carry means all that much given how photos don't always match reality.

I, like an idiot, ordered a 'Coin'. And it is useless with 2 of my 3 credit cards.
My BoA and PRG are both chipped, and if I try to swipe them at a store that accepts Chipped cards (Walmart) the swipe is instantly denied.

Oh well, maybe I can use it as a place to store sock drawer cards.
And those two rewards cards that have a Mag Strip.
[size=60]
American Express PRG - NPSL ('10) - NONE - Replace with BCE in 2015
US Airways barclaycard - $20,000 ('14) - Catch All - PC to Arrival in 2016
BankAmericard | Cash Rewards - $8,200 ('99) - Gas, Groceries
Discover It - $8,700 ('14) - 5% categories, ShopDiscover
