The average deadbeat, er myflamenco poster, is a deadbeat who isn't going to get approved for anything but a first premier and a fingerhut account. Telling those people to garden for six months or a year is going to help them.

It's kind of funny and sad when I see someone over there make a thread whining and complaining because so and so lender won't give them a CLI but yet have also said that they've had bankruptcies and the bank they're trying to get so and so CLI from was one of the ones they burned. The fact that people were like that were even able to get back in the door with someone like that and then do nothing but throw a hissy fit because they haven't gotten a credit limit increase in like less than a year of having the accounts is ludicrous to me. In this case it was with GE/Synchrony Bank

I've been in the garden for a couple weeks now. I have every card I could possibly want, especially that sweeet Platinum! No apps are planned until 2015 or until some new credit cards come out. I have a few inquiries falling off soon, my BoA secured will graduate next month, and my 3x CLIs are due in a couple days.

I think some of my old inquiries on all three of my reports won't be a factor on my FICO score after this September and still can't wait for my sixth statement with CapOne to generate to see what I get as part of my CLI with them. After that, several other accounts of mine are gonna hit the six month mark in October so it will be great to be able to let those accounts keep aging for a while.

And holy crap, that Creditaddict guy now has over 45 cards in his possession and got approved for a Chase Amazon Visa amazingly enough. Just the other week, he had on his sig that he had over 30 cards or maybe it was over 20, can't remember the number right now.

Can't imagine any sane person having that many and being able to keep track of them and I think the guy went through a bankruptcy several years ago. I sometimes see him comment in various threads over at MyFico and people still wish him luck on approvals.

Meanwhile I also read that Bears and Turtles' dad got approved for a Citi Double Cash card even with high utilization according to him.

Man, that bears and turtles guy is hilarious. I remember lurking around on this forum and seeing people talk about him. Took me about 15 minutes to find him on MyFICO, but that time was worth it. Him, creditaddict, and some other guy who's name I forgot (he's been mentioned around here a few times very recently) are absolutely hilarious. So many apps, such bad scores, such terrible cards, and they keep trying and trying to get the good cards, only ruining their odds even more!

Yeah... and apparently "DD" got the best APR possible while those with 750's got crappy APR!

Creditaddict is an amateur next to Ron1 who has 120 cards and counting.

My favorite fico poster of the day is this chick who applied and was approved for two Crap One cards less then 2 weeks post-bankruptcy. She seemed unhappy with only $3000 limits on each card (so much for "we are a conservative lender"... I wouldn't touch a post-B borrower until a few years after discharge). One of the few wise posters on fico said "remember why you filed bankruptcy" and she said, "Oh, it wasn't for unsecured debt".

Lesson NOT learned! I guess when she writes her autobiography, it will go from chapter 7 directly to chapter 13.
In my Wallet:
  • Amex PRG NPSL[3-14, bd 91]
  • Sallie Mae MC $8000[1-14]
  • Chase Freedom $4700[1-14]
  • Discover It $2750[8-13]
  • BoA UCF Alumni Cash Rewards $5000 [3-15]
Sometimes in my Wallet:
  • GM BuyPower WEMC $5000[9-14]
  • Wells Fargo Propel 365 Amex $7000[4-14]
  • Barclaycard Arrival WEMC $7000[3-14]
  • BoA Better Balance $3000[2-15]
In my sockdrawer: Amex BCE $1000[10-13, bd 91], OCCU Duck $10000 [11-13], The Sportsman's Guide Visa $8000[8-14], Chase Slate $4000 [9-14]Delta Gold Amex $2000 [2-15 bd 91], Diners Club MC $20000 [10-14] Commerce Bank Visa $2000 [3-15] Citi Double Cash $1000 [3-15]
Total CL: $90450

Looks like that extra 21st chromosome isn't treating her too well. What an idiot.

This guy is always whining about GE not giving him a CLI even though he had BK 7 like a year ago and is expecting one of the lenders that he burned to suddenly welcome this guy back in open arms. People have told the guy to be a lot more patient.

Just more of the colorful cast of characters you will find on MyFico sometimes. Also good to know that there are a few wise people here and there and decent information but you have to dig through crap like this to find any.

And wow, that woman is just a complete moron. I'd happily trade my CapOne card's limit for something like that. Lol. That user has been on that board for quite a long time and has had a bunch of prime cards before looking through her old posts and stuff. Here's the reason that she filed bankruptcy and that person apparently had a 20K limit Beaver card.

Also didn't think it was possible for anyone to have over 120 cards. Comenity really doesn't seem to give a damn.
