Wow otter you really shocked me there. But then again you didn't get a 100 limit card either, that 8k is an excellent starting limit.

I actually do own a gun a 9 mm semi automatic Smith & Wesson that I've seen police carry, and I went on a few months ago to order ammo for it. I wondered if I'd get the pop up but I didn't, I was just curious at the time.

I honestly can't even use another card I almost have too many as it is so I'm cool I didn't get it, even if it would have been a high limit. I don't have a place in my wallet or a use for anything else and I don't want to further drop AAoA even without an inquiry. Truth is I really have no use for my Chase Freedom card at all so if anything I should find a use for that or dump it, just hate to get rid of it is all.

Congrats +1!

All I get on cardmatch is just one card, I don't even remember the lender name. They do have decent offers, though. My fiancée got a targeted 50k PRG and 60k Platinum offer on there.

What gun is it? I had a Smith and Wesson 9mm as well, but upgraded to an old police carry 357 revolver.

You don't even use the Freedom for Amazon and gas? What card do you use for those two categories?

I wonder if it is the Simmons First. In the past I did get matched to that, very low APR, no balance transfer fee, excellent credit required. Now I don't get matched to that anymore.

I'm not sure specifically to be honest which gun it is (model).

Nope I really don't even use Freedom. I tend to use Amex though lately I've been giving the Dodge card some use. But as a rule I pretty much use Amex.

I guess my feeling is, the way rewards are getting nerfed left and right by many companies these days, among them Chase, Barclays and US Bank, rewards will eventually probably go away or everything will simply drop to 1%. They might throw in some "perks" to try to make up for it, but I think rewards cards will go the way of the dinosaur over time. On top of that eventually the merchants will band together and charge us a fee to use cards whenever and wherever they can. I hope when all this goes down and it will take years I'm sure, that we have something else to use other than credit cards, because when it starts costing me money to pay people, I'm going to find an alternative. It's like a fee on a tax when you have to pay to pay people. It's like when you go to the DMV and they charge you a fee to pay your registration. Maybe the government can get away with that, but if I don't have to put up with it, I won't.

So I don't pay a whole lot of attention to the rewards. I think over time they will become irrelevant.

Did you have to pay the $29.99 annual fee to be in the Sportsman's Guide Buyer's Club? Were you already a customer there? Or you found a way around the fee and just got the card without the membership?
Wallet: Prestige CSP SchwabPlat Freedom It Hyatt SallieMae AAPlat
SD: Arrival BrooksBros BCE ED IHG
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

It added the membership to my shopping cart, so I guess I will probably have to pay eventually if I want to buy there.

I have been wanting to try some Smoked Pheasant for several years now, and finally decided to see if I could find some through some of the sporting goods stores. Looked at this website, Sportsman's guide, knowing that some have had the pop-ups and got approved with a SP, so I said to my self, if they have the Smoked Pheasant I am going for it. They did, I did, Approved for $8K CL...LOL This is now my highest CL.
