Barclays

Postby rhipsher » Sun Aug 10, 2014 10:45 pm

I've gotten 4 pre approved apps in the mail for a Barclays card. I don't really know much about them. Any benefit to having this card? If anything I really need a card for small business. I've been browsing AMX business cards. I deal allot with net 30's to net 40's and don't have any employees yet. More of an owner operator at this point.

Their Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard is pretty good for travel, but that's about it. They also have a pretty good card for people with fair credit. For a business card, I'd be looking at AmEx and especially Chase.
FICO TU - 728 - 8/14
FICO EX - 716 - 7/14
FICO EQ - 740 - 7/14

Bank of America Cash Rewards - $2,400
Best Buy - $3,000
American Express Blue Cash Everyday - $8,000
American Express Everyday - $10,000
Discover It Chrome - $500 (AU on fiancée's card, helping her build credit)
American Express Platinum - NPSL
Barclaycard Arrival+ - $3,000
Capital One Yamacard - $11,000

I meant to say AmEx. My business is all local at the moment and doesn't require me to travel. Right now I have C.O.D accounts using a Visa business platinum debit card set up on file with all of my tool and material suppliers. But at a certain point I'm going to have to setup credit accounts with them so they will deliver instead of me having to drive across town to pick it up. I do on average $3,000 a month in business with them. They are also on net 30 terms. But to be perfectly honest I like C.O.D. It gets paid right now. And I don't have a bill at the end of the month to settle with them. I usually get paid within 30 days and don't have to rob peter to pay Paul and float credit. I always have more than enough in the business account to cover any expenses or capital expenditures. But I also need to build up business credit just in case so.
