Barclaycard Ring vs Barclaycard Rewards

Postby Red_Rena » Sat Aug 09, 2014 1:45 pm

From my Juniper card if I can get them to upgrade. Which of these would give me more bang for my buck? Also, since my limit is 6000, would they upgrade to WMC? Last, if it were converted to a WMC (I'm dreaming at this point, lol) does it report to the CBs?

The main difference between the two is that the Ring has a low APR (8%) but no "cash back / rewards." The Rewards card will have a higher APR but you get cash back.

Which is better? If you never carry a balance, the rewards card is probably better. If you sometimes carry a balance, the low APR of the Ring card may save you money.

You might also ask if either the Ring or the Rewards card essentially duplicates a credit card you already have.
