Rotating Category Signup

Postby CarefulBuilder14 » Mon Aug 04, 2014 2:48 pm

Is there some legal reason the rotating category cards (Freedom, It, Dividend, maybe others) make you sign up to be eligible for the extra 4%? It isn't like you can pick the categories (like on Cash+).

Do they really just want to be sure we know what they are? Are they hoping a few people will forget? Or does it have to do with the fact they are, in a way, changing the terms and conditions every few months? Maybe they want to be fresh in the minds of people who have their cards on automatic payment?

Doubt there is a legal reason. My guess is first they want you thinking about the card (and more importantly spending on it) and second I'm sure they hope you forget and get 1%.

Just guesses who knows. You can sign up to be notified when it's time to do it.

I think you're correct about both, but more the latter than the former.
