Can I check credit score when applying for a new card?

Postby supernova » Fri Aug 01, 2014 10:00 pm

I was interested in buying a credit score report before applying for a CSP, but if they're gonna hard pull anyways, am I able to check directly from Chase?

Only if you get approved and don't get the best terms, or get declined. And no telling which bureau it will be from. Or if it's their enhanced or what you'd get from the FICO site.

So, maybe.

Thanks,

$60 seems like a lot just to check but I don't have the slightest clue what my score is.

If they share it with you it would be after the hard pull. Idk where are you from but in Jersey Chase pulls from Experian most of the time. If I dont bad remember, experian has a free trial if you sign up for the service. Pull your score and then cancel the service. It will be a Plus score but it should give you an idea of weather you should pull the trigger or not
