Anyone here know of a guy named FixMyCredit1992? His posts and threads were usually some of the most laughable things on MyFico that I've seen, basically applying for cards even when people there told him a million times that he wouldn't be able to qualify for them because of many reasons, especially the big balance he has carrying on his low limit Wells Fargo Secured card. Just go through his older posts for some hilarity here. You thought Bears and Turtles was bad? Well, I kinda think this guy is worse or was worse. I think he's one of those rebuilder types and there was even one point where this guy was putting any credit card company that he didn't like onto his Sh*t list because they wouldn't extend him credit like Discover for example.

Also someone allegedly lied about their manufactured spending in one of threads recently here.

I agree. He also has way more inquiries on each credit report than I could ever imagine having.

He's got more on one than I do on all three combined, and I had a lot of apps this year lol.

He does make a good point about the big banks and their bailouts. I found it particularly repulsive that their execs had to get their hands on OUR money, then flew off to these tropical resorts and gave themselves huge bonuses right after. And this after lobbying to get laws passed making it harder for the average person who gets slammed with killer medical bills to declare BK because they want to punish "deadbeats". Maybe they should look in the mirror for an example.

Just my take on that.

Every time I feel like I have too many inquiries on my CRs or get denied because of that reason alone, I just remember how many that guy has and realize that not even my reports with the highest amount of them are what he has right now or this other guy that I saw who got a Barclay Rewards card with way more inquiries than I have right now. I recall that he said it was around 36 or so.

When you put it that way, I can wholeheartedly agree. Tons of crooks working on Wall Street that haven't gone to jail for what they did. I'm just surprised that someone who's repeatedly shot himself in the foot credit wise and blaming everyone else for his problems could actually have a good point to make and to be fair, it seems he's in a better credit position than he was back then before he was able to become an AU on a card.

Just had a random thought pop into my head. I kinda suspect at least some of the people on MyFico who post almost nothing but generic congrats messages are bots. I mean it's either that or said person has WAY too much free time on their hands to just do that for the majority of their posts and not try to contribute something insightful to the forum.

There's this one dude named alvon123 and I see him constantly on myFico post congrats messages every day and on tons of threads in the credit card approvals subforum and then I check out his profile and holy crap, it's almost nothing but endless congrats from that guy. Kinda creepy IMO.

There are a lot of them on there like that, but every now and then you see a post by them, so they can't be bots. They just seem to be either the sort that thinks everyone needs 5000 congrats or else they want to run their posts count up. When 90% of what you post is "congrats +1" I'd say you really aren't contributing much meaningful. When I give congrats on here I always like to ask questions like the limit so people can see what someone got or remind them of the 60 3X CLI attempt, something to make the post worth reading. Once in a rare while it's just congratulations that's a nice limit but sure as hell not to every post that's just a waste.

I always learn something over there, but I do find wading through the trash to get to the gems a bit tedious sometimes. Goes with the territory I guess.
