Trouble Pulling Scores

Postby onion » Wed Jul 09, 2014 10:40 pm

I'm having a nightmare of a time pulling my scores. All three credit bureaus require me to call or mail in a form to prove my identity. I've had credit for about 10 months. The only two credit monitoring places I've managed to sign up in are CreditKarma and CreditSesame. Even Quizzle spits out an error. I've lived at the same address the whole time I've had credit, so I don't really know what the problem is. My social never changed, never used a nickname, etc. Does anyone have any insight on this? I'd really like to get my free yearly credit report from the three bureaus. Thanks guys.

It's possible they don't have enough info on you yet to verify identity online. You may have to call or write...

Good luck.

This is most likely to make sure it's really yourself who requests your credit information. I have just tried pulling my annual Experian credit report and they say I have to request by mail. I guess this is because it's the first time I request the report.

Looks like you have to prove your identity and they may require additional documents (copy of ID and proof of address).
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

Your Amex blue sky should have the credit secure option. Which would give you all 3 scores and monitor it regularly for you for 1.00 the first month and 14.95 there after. I have and it's very useful. Check it out.

That happened to me when I tried to pull Experian and Equifax. Just call them. They verify your information (loan amounts, credit card balances) quickly and your credit score is available online seconds later.
My Cards:

Discover It - $8,450 (9/13)
BankAmericard Cash Rewards Visa Signature - $5,000 (4/14)
Chase Freedom - $3,000 (5/14)
AMEX Hilton HHonors - $16,500 (6/14)

Thanks for the info everyone. I'll check out the blue sky feature as well as give the bureaus a call to try and see if they have the correct information on file for me.
