I logged back in to set up auto-pay, and have been foiled yet again. Because I just made a payment in full (my statement cut on Fri), I can't set up autopay right now. Apparently I can't do so until my new statement balance hits next month.
I called, and the rep explained that, since I've already paid this statement off, the system is confused because the payment isn't due til July 9th. So, the way it sees things, there's no auto-payment to be made, hence the error message. So, on July 12th, when my next statement cuts, I will just have to remember to log in and set up autopay BEFORE paying off my balance. This will appease the gods.
A headache to be sure, but I'm glad that, once I do get things set up, all should be hunky-dory.
