I'm looking for the best 0% credit card offers for purchases only. I know most give it on balance trasnfers but I don't need that, just on new purchases. Which cards out there are good for this and offer it at least 12 months? I have a big purchase I need to make ($8000) for a jet ski and I figure 0% is a hell of a lot cheaper than any traditional financing on it.

The card I recommend currently for 0% on purchases is the American Express Blue Card. At the time I'm writing this (so it may have changed) they are offering 0% APR for up to 15 months on purchases, which is virtually unheard of with every other creditor. The card has no annual fee and right now the other comparable cards are offering only 6 months 0% APR. Another benefit is American Express tends to give generous credit limits which would be important in a situation such as this.
If you have a big purchase you need to carry as a balance for a year I'd check it out. Here is our review for the Blue Cash card. |

If I send money with Paypal do you think that counts as a purchase? I suppose it would. I could use a short term loan right now to cover expenses until we get our settlement in November. What do you think of using a card like this and sending the money by Paypal to another Paypal account? They charge a 2.9% processing fee so it would be like getting a 15 month cash advance for 2.9% of the total.

Man totally forgot I posted on here back then about this. Well I ended up going with a Chase card but it was only 0% for 12 months. Maybe at that time next year I'll get this other card you recommended and transfer it again lol

Paypal should work but you'll be paying the 2.9% fee they charge.

they do this in hopes that you will charge up a fortune during the promo period and then not be able to pay it off once the normal interest kicks in.

15 months is great. Would average credit qualify me for this card?

I would like to get this card more for the high limits I hear they give but I don't know if I would qualify.

Get a Amex Charge Card and you don't have to worry about interest at all

The Fed is expected to lower the rate this week by 75 or 100 basis points. Since nearly all credit cards rates are based on the prime rate this is a good thing which should mean rates by ethical credit cards will automatically be lowered by 0.75% to 1% one or two months from now.
