Chase has announced they will not only be ending the $10 monthly fee but also refunding those fees that have already been charged in the past - over $4.4 million in total. You have Andrew Cuomo, the New York Attorney General, to thank for this.

I wonder if the refund will be in the form of a check or a statement credit?

I got an instant statement credit. If you don't carry a balance, they may send you a check after awhile, but they really want to you spend the credit...

Whatever form it's in I'm just glad to see they are refunding those fees.

(That being said, the only reason they're doing it is because they were ordered to, ha!)
