Thread: Pay car payment with credit card

Can you pay car payments with a credit card? Which auto financing companies allow that to be done?

My payment is $339 and its going to be super hard for me to come up with the cash for that this month.

Call your lender and ask them. Some of them will allow you to do it over the phone, but only when is late.
If you are having trouble this month, I would look into having this month's payment deferred, they move it to the end of the loan so you can catch up with payments. Most lenders do this up to twice a year if you have a good history.

Putting montly recurring expenses (like rent, car payments, etc) on credit cards it's not a good idea because it can take you to bad places, this should be your last resource.

Asking for a month deferred payment is a great suggestion! I didn't know that was an option! I will give a call this evening and see if that can be done for this month. I am completely with you that paying car payments with a credit card is not a good idea but it would only be somethng for one month.
