Default How to pay property taxes with credit card

How can you pay property taxes with a credit card and collect rewards for doing so at the same time? Do all cities and states allow credit card property tax payments? What are the fees and will finance charges begin accruing immediately as is the case with a credit card cash advance?

I don't know about Connecticut but in Los Angeles county property tax credit card payments are accept. However any rewards earned will be a wash because without a doubt you will be charged processing fees for paying property taxes using a credit card.

Where I live (Arizona) they accept cc for property tax payments but charge a 2-3% fee. That pretty much wipes out any rewards

The only way I could see it being worthwhile is by using a promotion like this: Discover Card Promotions - $250.00 Cashback Bonus!

Thanks for the replies. At 3% I won't do it. What are the chances of having the fee waived or being charged a flat fee of $25 to $50 irrelevant of the amount at hand.
