Discover card 0% for 15 months offer and my unusual situation

Postby Debitante » Wed Aug 15, 2012 1:38 pm

I am contemplating Discover's invitation sent me to apply for their "More" card @ 15 months 0% APR on purchases/balance transfers.

My credit score is good, I'm a homeowner with no mortgages and home paid off, I owe 5k on Chase 17k limit card, and another 5k on Wells Fargo 11k limit card. My Chase card APR is currently 27%,.. calculator tells me I will save $1500 with balance transfer to Discover.

I am currently unemployed but I have approx 1k from a tenant income each month to help hold me over, plus random income as I'm a musician. My concerns are;.. will application for Discover card trigger Chase or WF to lower my credit limits? Will Discover grant me a card while currently "unemployed"? All input is appreciated,......

You could apply to them or to Citibank, which runs similar promotions and gives better credit lines, you have nothing to lose.
