    Default Quarter 1 2014 cash back catagory?

    New to Discover. When do they announce the next year or quarter's cash back categories? Are they always the same?
    NFCU Visa Signature Flagship $8.5k
    Home Depot Consumer Card $2.5k
    PNC Bank Card(AU) $2.5k
    AMEX BCE $2.5k
    Discover IT $3.5k
    Chase Slate $5.4k

    This year they announced the specific categories about a month before the quarters began. The categories change, though they did gas twice this year.

    They have the hints up already. I think the first quarter is restaurants and gas again. Second quarter was home improvement.

    I'm pretty sure I saw movies and typed gas. Looks like gas is the 3rd quarter. Isn't the calendar the same as last year?

    Yea its identical to last year. I wonder if Chase Freedomedom will do the same.

    excited for next quarter but i watch more summer blockbusters..restaurants are always a + though

    freedom probably won't mirror 100%. they never do, last quarter last year was travel, hotel and stuff..this year its select dept stores and amazon.
