Default Automatic credit limit increase from Discover?

I just got a letter from Discover saying " Good NEWS! based on your efforts to maintain this account in good standing, you may be eligible for a credit line increase on your discover card etc.etc. please call us at number listed below"

My account is only 14 mouths old, I tried a month ago to get a soft credit limit increase from 4500 to 5000 on my 13 month but they said no. No neg's, always zero out bal. before month end statement, avg 2000 a month.

Called the special number they ask me any updates to my account I said "no" than they gave me a 2000 dollar increase to 6500 on a soft pull. I'm still trying to figure this out...no than yes!

That's really weird about your request being denied. I have had my Escape card since January and have received two separate CLI since then. Didn't even have to ask. I have read on this site that others aren't getting regular increases or denials as well--sorry for them, but it isn't a problem for me.
    Cards and Credit lines Acquired:

Escape by Discover, Barclay Holland America Visa, Macy's store card, Bloomingdale's store card, Citi Custom Credit Line, PayPal Smart Connect credit line, Chase Sapphire Visa, Chase United MileagePlus Visa, Amazon store card, and Lord & Taylor.

Closed: Dell Financial Services credit line. They cut my limit, so I cut the cord. Capital One. If they won't work with me, my other cards will!
