    Default Really disappointed

So, on Discover's website they're advertising the first 15 months at 0% APR for both purchases and balance transfers for the More card. I got my card in the mail today, and the first thing I noticed was there was no indication of the 0% APR for purchases. There was a thing that said 0% on balance transfers for 12 months, but honestly I have barely any debt (about $200 on my Capital One card that I'm gonna pay off in two weeks before I get hit with interest) and don't really care about balance transfers. I also have a Citi platinum select card that has 18 months 0% APR on transfers AND purchases.

I called Discover when I had to activate the card and they said the online offers are only for select customers blah blah blah. I'm really disappointed because I really wanted to earn cash back while not worrying about high interest. I guess I'll just use this card as my backup or for low balances that I pay off month to month. It just sucks that they advertise something and don't deliver it. I'm still happy to get my foot in the door with Discover (they also said I have a 676 Fico which I didn't expect), but I'm very disappointed at the same time.

Sorry to hear it. Probably buried deep in the terms and conditions is verbiage that if you do not qualify for the great offer, they can offer different, lesser offers. Not that this helps since the applicant never knows what they qualify until after the account is approved. But rest assured they have covered themselves from a legal standpoint.

They are a great company to work with but there are better reward cards out there (Citibank Dividend, Chase Freedom, BankAmericard Cash Rewards).

How is the BankAmericard better? I feel like discover lets us quickly and easily redeem rewards.

I actually got denied for the BankAmericard. I initially applied for that before the more card and got denied and suggested a secured card. Since I already had two non-secured cards I didn't even bother (horrible CL and awful annual fee) and then applied for Discover. Low and behold I got approved and here I am now. I must say Discover's customer service is about 1 million times better than Capital One's. They got my 0% APR situation fixed the day I got the card, and got it done in under 15 minutes. Capital One never seems to want to help

I find that the small print ALWAYS has little things that give rules and limits on advertisements of credit cards. I have gotten in the habit of reading the fine print more than the actual print, boring but helps.

Those offers are all subject to credit approval.
