If this is old news please disregard.
I was recently looking for some stuff on Amazon when I noticed that you can pay for goods with Discover Cash Back. Looking at the deal further I realized that you could also pay for goods with Discover Miles. The cards Amazon calls out as elegible are Discover More, Motiva, Open Road, Miles and Escape.
Looking at the conversion rate I noticed that Miles convert at 100=$1.00. This should mean that the Escape card is basically a 2% cash back card while shopping at Amazon (not just for travel expenses as the card agreement states).
I am not sure if you have to logged into your account to see the offer so I am not posting a link. However there is another offer for this month:
"**Miles by Discover® cardmembers earn 2 Miles for every $1 in purchases made at Amazon.com subject to a cap of $250 in purchases this billing period; purchases in excess of $250 will continue to automatically earn 1 Mile per dollar. Escape℠ by Discover® cardmembers earn 4 Miles for every $1 in purchases made at Amazon.com subject to a cap of $250 in purchases this billing period; purchases in excess of $250 will continue to automatically earn 2 Miles per dollar. If a purchase is coded for a merchant other than Amazon.com, it will not qualify. Allow up to 5 weeks for this reward to be added to your Miles account."
So for this month your first $250 spent at Amazon is worth 1000 miles with the Escape card.
