I called Discover earlier tonight , I asked what are the rotating categories in October.
the account mgr said clothing stores, department stores and restaurants. I asked what is the cap, that person mentioned 300. does Discover want us to use their card? or do they want us to keep track of what we spend?
I signed up on June 29th or 30th for the hotels, theme parks, movies and gas. that category
ends september 30th. it's not even august 31st yet and I already have 275 on the card. the movies will take me to 295.
again a low low cap. how come the last category of home improvement and whatever else was a 400 dollar cap, while the important categories like gas for july, august, sept and clothing stores with department stores oct, nov and dec are 300?
for anybody that's wondering walmart and target aren't department stores they are discount stores, that is what the account mgr told me. however the outlets count and Neiman Marcus and saks 5th ave count as department stores even though they are not at the main malls.
does anybody know why the low 300 caps again, instead of 800 or 600?
Does Discover want us to use their card or Visa, Mastercard, American express and Jcb?
