Thread: Minimum credit score needed for Discover More card?

What do you all think my chances of getting a Discover More card? I'm debating, My Credit score according to CK is around 720 right now.. Anyone got any additional info about this card's requirements? Thanks.

Since you have a zync card you should have no problem getting a Discover More with your credit score.

Back in 1987 or around 1989 I applied for the green card I got turned down. so then I applied for a first fidelity card they gave me a card. later on I tried for a gold american express got turned down. Then 1 day while I was at the nanuet mall I met american express and 1 of the employees offered me a optima card. I tried for the gold, they gave me a blue and white I canceled.

Then I went to caldors and picked up a Discover card application. At that time which was 1998 you had to make (gross income NOT net) 15,000 a year I don't know what the minimual income is today. I don't know how hard it is to get a Discover card. But My point is back in the Mid to late 90's I had NO American express card just a Visa and I ended up getting the card in 98 while you have a Zync card you should be able to get a Discover More card.

For a Discover More, the minimum credit score required to be approved historically has usually been around 700 to 710. Mind you that is for a true FICO and not FAKO. In order to obtain a true FICO you would need to purchase it directly from FICO/Fair Isaac Corporation. Third-party websites aren't selling FICO scores these days since Fair Isaac no longer pays commissions on referrals.

so which design did you choose? did you ask them what's the minimum annual salary you have to make in order to apply and get the card?

guru in your review there's no place where it states your minimum annual salary has to be. Meltdown as you know in my time period it was 15,000 a year. congrats on getting the card. any ideas on what you want to do about the thank you premier card?

Meltdownblitz you know if you want the original black like I have you can get it, also if you want the red white and blue or platinum you can get any of these designs.

No I don't know the minimum annual salary but I'd say the minimum credit score would be at least 700+ in most cases to even be considered as CCG said. I think I'm going to pass on the thank you card for now. And what original black card, other color card designs are you talking about?

what I mean was when I first got the card there were just a few designs like the Black, platinum and the red white and blue.
But now Discover has tons of different designs and colors just wondering which 1 you will be getting.

Oh I see.. I didn't pick a design so I'm guessing the discover more design.
