    Default Odds of winning Discover Everyday Giveaway sweepstakes?

    Discover lists "7 Reasons You'll Love Discover" and their #5 is the Everyday Giveaway Sweepstakes that says "Just use your Discover card for a chance to win 1 of 75 daily prizes. Does that means the odds of winning are totally dependent on how many purchases their credit card holders make during a given day? Do all purchases qualify for the contest?

    Hmm well I suppose the way to find this out would be to figure out on average, how many transactions per day Discover processes for U.S. cardholders. Then divide that number by the 75 daily prizes and that will be your answers. I would calculate this myself for you but unfortunately I have no clue as to the daily transaction volume other than that it must be millions so you know the odds must be slim.

    Have any of you won the Discover Everyday Giveaway?

    The chances of one winning their giveaway prize is slim to none, just think about all of the people that use Discover cards on a daily basis...there must be tens of millions. Add the fact that each of those cards is likely used multiple times a day and you leave yourself with an extremely low chance of winning.
