Default what was the last store or restaurant

that you went to or over the phone and said they don't take Discover, do you remember the year?

For me it was last year. My fathers side of the family lives in Mass. so Nov. of 2009 me and my cousin took the tour of Fenway park in Boston, we started out in the gift shop and they took our names and addresses. March of 2010 they sent me a Red sox catalog. I wanted to order a shirt for my dad, I called up, went over the prices and the person asked me how I wanted to pay for it I asked what credit cards do you take. She said everything. I asked do you take Discover she said not that one just American express, Mastercard and Visa. that was the last place that I wasn't able to use my Discover. I used my chase Platinum card that day.

Subway, just a couple of hours ago - and a local theater that takes Amex but not Discover just last weekend.

Outside of those two places, though, I've never had any problems with acceptance in Illinois.

It was a Mexican restaurant. Went there during the 5% at restaurants and Discover was not accepted but didn't learn that until the bill arrived. I told them I would never return and sure enough, I've avoided them ever since despite their good food.

Subway for me as well, which is BS because their store locator shows they accept everything (I'm looking at it right now). I got them back though, they didn't tell me they don't take Discover until the fourth time I was there, meaning the first three times I actually didn't pay, so I got $30 worth of sandwiches free. Take that Subway!

Chris Reeve Knifes does not take it. It has been a year since I asked. I just give them my Amex (or Visa) now.

Stupid employees. They swiped my Discover card. I only have experience with one type of machine for swiping cards, but that machine beeps as soon as an unsupported card is swiped and even says something along the lines of "Unsupported Card swiped" or something like that. Either Subway's system is crap or their employees are.
