    Post Credit score needed for Discover card balance transfer?

    I was looking at the Discover balance transfer offer that I found here:

    Are the credit requirements tough to meet? Do you think I'll get approved with a 689 credit score?

    Please answer as soon as possible as that offer expires tomorrow.

    Getting approved with a 689 is unlikely. From what I have seen on this forum the credit score needed to be approved for a Discover card is around 700 and up. Everyone thinks American Express is the hardest to qualify for but I don't agree with that. You may want to try a different issuer with your current credit score.
