HSBC Direct Rewards Discover Card, is it still available?
Since my last post i did some searching and found the HSBC Direct Rewards Discover card. It is given or used to be given if you applied for a Discover card and were rejected, then this would come back as a counteroffer. There were complaints about the credit lines being low but that is had alright rewards and it was a Discover card but managed by HSBC. I read comments with low credit scores getting the card. This would be what I need but I can't find any recent info on it. What I saw on Google was not from 2011 but 2008. Are there any updates on the Direct Rewards Discover card?

Let me get this right, the Direct Rewards Discover will be given if I apply for a Discover card and am denied (and I would be). Will this option be given to everyone, that is if it is still being offered.

To the best of my knowledge, the HSBC Direct Rewards Discover card is no long available as of 2011. I have heard no such mention of the card for at least two years and assume it must have been discontinued during the recession. Discover is well known for requiring higher credit scores often above 700. If you do not have that type of score then I would recommend holding off on applying for a Discover for the time being.
If you have fair credit and would like to find a decent card, then I recommend you visit our sponsored page of the best credit cards for fair credit.
Good luck,

FYI: Just tonight I applied for the Discover More Card and was rejected but instantly offered the Direct Rewards Discover by HSBC. So it is still around as of 2011.

If you all really want a Discover try the WalMart or Sams Discover issued by GEMB. Much better product and service overall compared to HSBC.
