If you look at their website Portugal is the only place Discover card is accepted in Europe as of 2010. You gotta use it at places that accept Diners Club.
Then there is a coming soon list for Europe and this is what's listed

That's a lofty list for Discover to target.
It will be interesting to see how widely (or not) Discover cards will be accepted in Europe in the future.Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.
