I hear Discover is choosy in accepting applications. Can any of you hear provide insight as to what the minimum credit score for a Discover card like the More?

I don't know what they are like now but in May 2008 I applied for them with no credit and was accepted with a $500 limit.
I know someone that was turned down with a 706 for the Open Road and that was three years ago. The minimum credit score for a Discover card must be even higher now. If you are new to credit your chances may be better perhaps.
The minimum credit score for Discover now is I'm guessing at least 710-720 and up (not counting student cards)
Not that a Discover card will be in my near future LOL but will Discover ever accept applicants that have a BK on file or will I have to wait until that falls off. And will the minimum credit score need to be higher for someone with a BK on file?
700+FICO and $80K income got me a $7500 Discover More card. I got it to take advantage of 0% on a balance xfer through next year.
Speaking of credit scores for Discover cards, why does everyone and their mom make fun of Discover acting like it is a second class credit card? I mean to get one you gotta have a credit score higher than some Amex cards require.
OBAMA
Stop talking crap about him!
I don't know why D Card is ridiculed so much. I don't carry mine except for when the 5% rewards are in effect for a category I frequent (restaurants, groceries), but I've only had my Discover turned down 2-3 times that I can remember. Once was at Subway, which didn't take Amex at the time either. The other time I can remember was at a new restaurant in town that did take my Amex instead. I suspect they were trying to save money or just hadn't gotten around to getting DC capability since they were a new business.
I think Discover customer service is as good as anybody's and better than Amex. I think their website is only equaled, perhaps, by FIA Card Services and is better than Amex, Citi, Chase, et al.
CARDS (and why)
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (best cash back excepting 5% cards), Fidelity Visa (spare)
Chase: Freedom (only for 5% reward categories, purchases under $10), Sapphire (not in use), Amazon Rewards (for Amazon purchases only)
CapitalOne: No Hassle Rewards (no foreign transaction fee, my only MasterCard, not in use)
Amex: Blue Cash Everyday (not in use)
Discover: More (only for 5% reward categories)
Discover's customer service is clearly inferior and customer targeting is more restrictive. Amex creates a nice image but the product array, targeting and acceptenace levels have been much more mass market . Discover creates an image of value which is not the aspirational or upscale image that Amex or Visa conveys . The image of both Amex and Discover is different than the real identity of both card programs. Discover attacking foreign customer service is cute but is inconsistent with how they perform in reality. Discover customer service is not a market share mover either way though, merely a point of difference.
Based on a survey of one ( with a less than impressive recent Discover customer service experience), and holiday party chatter, Discover is well behind competitors in the wallet and earned that right.

I don't know anything about Discover cards. I have looked into getting one recently (or at least applying). I reeived a few "prequalified" offers for the Discover More card. As a current Amex (charge card) and BoA Visa holder, I was impressed with the Discover card. The only reason I have not applied is because my score is somewhere in the upper 600s but I am almost positive is not 700+. I recoginize that "prequalified" is not a guarantee, it only means you meet minimum requirements (which leads me to believe the minimum score is not 710-720).
I decided not to apply (out of concern for being denied). But, it does look like a sharp card.
