Default How To Get a Diners Club Credit Card Application?

A few months ago I called Diners Club because I wanted to apply for their card. However, the CSR told me that they don’t accept Diners Club applications anymore. I heard that in 2008 Discover bought Diners Club network but that in North America Citi would still issue the cards. I also heard that recently BMO bought the rights to issue Diners Club in North America. Nevertheless, they still don’t accept applications. Does that mean that this is the end for Diners Club? I thought that now Diners Club was part of Discover, it would bring back its popularity, but it seems that they are getting rid of this card. I’m so mad because I really wanted to have a Diners Club.

Ending applications is news to me. Discover might try and re-launch Diner's Club but that will cost a lot in marketing, probably more than the price they paid for the company of around $200 million. I think the reason they purchased it was for strategic purposes to have Diners Club payment network overseas. The brand in the U.S. is dead as it current stands unless they promote it heavily. Why did you want a Diners Club so badly anyway?
