Default Application Question for Discover More

My wife only has 1 credit card in her name, and I think she needs to add a couple more. She is just an authorized user on my cards otherwise which I understand in some cases doesnt help her credit at all. I was filling out app for Discover More card. Her occupation is homemaker. Then it asks for her income. Well its 0. Then it asks for other sources of income. Is this where I would indicate my income? This is the first Discover card app I have ever done. Usually it asks for household income on credit apps. This is where I am stumped. She has strong credit. 768. Any advice?

i have an update on this. i called discover and the rep advised me that household income is what should be reported in that field. so i input that and did not get instant approval. got a boiler plate message that they need to perform additional processing and they would send her more info in 5-7 days and would make a decision in 30 days. they better not deny this thing. i would not be happy with the hard hit and denial. even if she is approved no more discover cards for our family.

Don't be surprised by the no instant approval. That is really common nowadays while the economy is rocky. I would be surprised if she doesn't get approved based on what you said, so don't feel they singled her out because they didn't approve her automatically- it just means they want a human to review the application for approval, which like I said is very common right now.
