Just approved. Have two Amex cards and have let them age since last year before I ditch the remaining CapOne. Seems Discover is a good backup plies decent rewards. How do I find out my CL though?

you can call up customer support or set up your online account. The main page on your online account will show your credit limit. If I remember right it took about two days for my online account to be activated though.

Thank you. $4K CL. Not real high but a good starting point. Anyone know the wait before requesting a CLI? I know Amex is 60 days initial then 6 months afterward. I'm guessing Discover May be 6 months.

90 days and they will always ask for your permission to pull your credit report if it cannot be done with a soft pull.

Thanks, that's good to know. I've heard great things about discover customer service, top of which being domestic. I'm not a racist by any means, but it becomes severely frustrating trying to communicate on the phone with someone who barely understands my native language and then resorts to bogus scripts. I'm welcoming discover with open arms and if Amex keeps outsourcing their CS I'm going to drop them next. Only other card I have is Chase and the couple of times I've had to call them I've always reached a friendly and knowledgeable CSR who can reply naturally without having to pause for a translation.

From my encounters discover by far has the best customer service. Although I have yet to call the direct line for my csp.

CSP is excellent as well - all American and they pick up the phone when you call it's not voice mail hell. But Discover is certainly excellent too and is a big part of the reason I got their card.

How did you guys set up your accounts without having the card or card number yet? All I've received since i got approved on sunday was an email saying that my card was on its way.
