Their US customer service is partly canceled out by their tendency to side with merchant in disputes, at least based on what I read. I got them for their FICO score, their online cashback merchants, and the sign up bonus.
Also, their quarterly deals sometimes work. Other quarters, it sits on the desk at home.
Gold American Express, since 1979,
back when it meant something.
And a few other cash back cards as well.
