Approved for Discover IT

Postby Vattené » Mon Feb 10, 2014 2:59 pm

After plenty of pu$$yfooting around, I finally applied and have been approved for the Discover IT card. I just found out I got a limit of $4,200, which I don't mind at all. It's more than any card I currently have and (hopefully, at least) my income will have been atypically low last year. I'm still waiting to receive the card, but I'm excited to start using it regularly and reaping the rewards.

Thanks to all that gave me advice :D

Thanks everyone! The limit may be based on my current arsenal of crappy Comenity & GE store cards, at least based on MemberSince99's thread "http://creditcardforum.com/discover-diners-club/9222-appd.html."

Don't forget to sign up for their 5% promotions and check their site for the online bonus merchants.
Gold American Express, since 1979,
back when it meant something.
And a few other cash back cards as well.

It arrived today! No pun intended. I got an APR of 14.99%. I'm please with that as it's on the lower end of the 10.99% - 22.99% range. I know, I know: it shouldn't matter as I plan on paying in full, but it still made me happy....I take it as a good sign of my credit (plus you never know - if for some reason I just can't pay it off in full it's always nice to have a lower APR).

I am signed up and have been browsing the online bonus merchants. It seems pretty impressive to me.

How long did it take for your card to ship?
