Discover Statement Posting

Postby darkguy2 » Fri Dec 06, 2013 8:32 pm

About how long does it take from the day you get your statement to when it is reported to the credit agencies and can be seen by others? I plan to get the Freedom and want to wait for my latest statement to post. Want to be able to use the 5% on Amazon for gifts since I already used up all of my ITs 5% bonus.
Discover IT - $5,700
Chase Freedom - $5,700
Costco Citi - $13,000
Sallie Mae - $4,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $6,000
Chase Sapphire Reserve - $19,500
Citi Double Cash - $6,500
Amex BCE - $13,000

FICOs: Discover (777), SallieMae (764), Amex (767), Citi (772)
FAKOs: CK- TU (760), EQ (760)

You know, they have customer support 24/7...just saying...I used live chat and inquired on your behalf: Discover reports the SAME DAY your statement closes. How quickly the agencies incorporate this information is up to them and varies from agency to agency.

Hopefully you will get an auto CLI from Discover soon if you're maxing out your bonus quarterly spend with a CL of only $1500. You've been with them for almost a year - have you gotten one already or asked for one?
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

Can you please explain the relation between CLI and The 5% bonus cash back? As far as I understand, it limits your earning cash back at $1,500 for that quarter only. So why would a CLI help to solve the problem?
All my posts are my opinions. All my posts mentioned "you" are merely for discussion-purpose only. No advice is given in any post at any time. It is also impossible for me to put effort to verify every statement that anyone has given.

No relationship at all. What I was implying is that if I am a creditor and see a borrower spending at least $1500 over four months on a card with a CL of $1500, I would be inclined to give you a higher CL. The borrower will benefit because their utilization will go down and credit score up. I will benefit because maybe now this borrower will spend more money on my card.

I have not gotten any auto CLI. I was putting about $2K a month on the card but this past statement I only put $1.2K. I use my IT everywhere except where it is not accepted and then I use my debit card. I was planing on asking for a CLI at the same time I applied for the Freedom. I have no idea why they would not give me a increase. I have never missed a payment or carried a balance. I am guessing that it is because I have the student card.

Would you think that by Monday all of them should have it reported?

Nice looking card. I may add it to the list to apply for. That one fits my everyday needs very well.

1) I would apply for a CLI before apping for the Freedom.

2) I have no idea.

IME, Experian and Equifax update within 2-3 days of my closing date. Transunion takes 7-10 days to update.
