The welcome package ships with whoever they used to process the application. (or one of them, if they pull more than one). That varies with where you are (and probably the phase of the moon...) TU isn't the biggest player in a lot of markets, so they use who ever is the biggest there.

Well I figure I lucked out, then, as now I'll get to see my EQ and TU scores within about a month of each other. Thanks for the clarification.
Citi Forward ($10.1K), AmEx Blue Cash Everyday ($30K), Chase Freedom ($12.4K), Discover it ($5.5K), Barclaycard Arrival ($12.5K), L.L. Bean Visa ($5K). FICO 806 (TU), 812 (EQ), 806 (EX).

Scores

joemacgames wrote:I just got my statement for November and it has my Fico score from TU on it. I googled it and it looks like they just announced that they are starting to include it on the statements for Discover IT cards. I think it's great, so I don't have to pay for monthly monitoring to get my true FICO score, at least not from TU

809 wondering how I compare with the fellow forum users?

Well, if you must know ( :ppp ), my EQ score on my welcome letter is 781. So I think my initial CL is appropriate, yes?

Got my first FICO on my Nov statement: 724.

Merrick's website shows a FICO of 736. It dropped one point after months of being steady at 737.

Could be from hard pulls to get my new cards, despite my overall available CL going up significantly.

Wish I had joined Chase in time to get free FICOs from them. They all use different formulas, anyways.
Merrick Bank (Hooters) 4100
Cap One Quicksilver 4800
Discover it 2500
Citi Forward 8000
Chase Freedom 1000
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday 5500
Citi Dividend 7000
Cap One Visa Platinum 750 (CLOSED)

Just saw this on my new statement. 758 FICO Score. No wonder I keep getting offers from Citi, Capital One, and AMEX. And Discover did another $500 auto-CLI for me to take my CL to $2500.
Discover IT: $2,500 CL
BankAmericard Better Balance Rewards Platinum Plus Visa: $2,000 CL

758 FICO Score from TransUnion at no charge thanks to Discover!

You can actually call to request being taken off these mailings. The fine print is usually in one of the offers. It's something I did a few years ago as I move frequently and always ended up having letters following me everywhere.

Just a quick note,

I sent an email to ask them about this. They told me I have a Discover More card, and currently they don't offer the score on my statement, but they sent me a letter to my registered address included my score in there automatically. So if you want to know, just ask!

You can also just change to the IT. Takes about 3 minutes on the phone. There's no down side that I can tell.
