Full-time student vs part-time employed

Postby beef.stu » Thu Sep 26, 2013 4:01 pm

Going through the discover application right now. What do you think I should select for employment status?

will selecting full-time student over part time employed affect the possible credit limit they would be willing to give me?

I would they might be more flexible if you state you are full-time student. That implies you may have access to other funds or have a safety net. To me part time work just means you can barely meet you necessities. I'm no underwriter or credit analyst but that how I would see it.

Well, the application status shows approved now. Anyone know where I could check how much I have been approved for? I tried setting up my online account, but I need my account number to do that.

Ascetics shouldn't matter right? I mean,it's all just a revolving credit line at the end of the day. That said, I agree, the IT card looks sharp. I like all the info being on the back. Very classy.
