Discover card's 4th quarter 2013 rewards info

"Online Holiday Shopping"

Sweet, and with ShopDiscover, I can potentially get up to 25% cashback! But does anyone know if this is the same as last year where EVERY online purchase (including bills!) count towards the 5%? Or just "shopping"?

AMEX BCE ($20,000), Citi Forward ($6,800), Discover IT ($5,250), BoA Travel Rewards ($1,800)

If the 5% counts towards bills, I'm going to knock out my 2014 insurance payments. SWEEETT

A lesson learned from last year -

The online shopping bonus only works if the transaction is actually processed online. A lot of smaller vendors take orders on the web but process them manually, in house. Discover was kind enough to credit the extra cash back as a statement credit (after three statement cycles!), but I had to hound them about it.

There's another problem with me going through discover site versus shopping on my own online

But I guess they're catching up to the double dipping and all

From what I understand. If it is "manually entered" it counts. As, if it is swiped that normally means it is being bought in person.
