I called Discover today trying to see if the could help with my trip in the coming weeks. Hotels and such. I did not know what all my services entailed.
It turns out I do not have any concierge service from Discover. The only help the give is when things go wrong. This is all ok, but I asked what would I have to do to get this service, as I see references to it on their site. She transferred me to an 'IT' card rep (stupidly). Who ended up doing a three way call with some sort of supervisor.
So from what she told me that they only way I can get concierge service is to have my account reviewed automatically (every 6-8 months) and one day it will just appear. She said it does not matter what card I get, a business one or the IT card. She says you don't get it by default, it is service that is only gained by tenure - no matter who you are.
Anyways, I thought that was a odd way of doing things, or at least an odd way to get one of their services out there.
Thoughts, or is there anyone out there that this has happened to? Kinda want some verification...
