Should I call the Discover reconsideration line?

Postby John8818 » Mon Apr 08, 2013 4:51 pm

Today I applied for discover IT online and got the you application needs further review. I have no debt and my credit scores are between 640-670, so I don't see why I wasn't approved.

Do you guys think I should call the backdoor phone number and check on the status of my application? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are your scores where they are because your credit profile is very young?
Chase Freedom ($2.5K, 10/2009)
Discover it ($6K; 03/2011)
Amex BCE ($19.5K; 02/2013 - 2011 BD)

i say always call cause the worst they can say is no. I have read that people call multiple times until the person on the other side says yes.
