Wow, 8.99% APR for the life of the account? That's pretty amazing. The only rates that come close to that are ones offered by credit unions, but then those hardly have any of the rewards that the Discover IT does.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard
HSBC Cash or Fly World Mastercard
USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

i put in the request on the 28th of April, it will take effect on the 1st of may

I should have asked to have my APR lowered as well. Like you I hardly ever carry a balance but it's nice to know if I did...I guess I'll ask when I call to activate it.

yep, it is definitely a great deal, but not the best on the block.

if anyone needs a low interest CC go for the Barclaycard Ring. it is 8% APR, not dependent on your credit worthiness or anything else. if you get approved, your APR is 8%.

it is a Platinum MasterCard, so it has some decent perks too. Foreign Transaction fee is 1% and Cash Advance fee is just $1, probably cheaper than using your debit card at a bank you don't have accounts with. the reward program on it comes in the form of "profit sharing." if anyone is interested they should read up on it.
Junk I use:
AmEx Platinum for Mercedes Benz from, 75k spending ability
AmEx Everyday 8.99% + Prime, 44k CL
Chase Ink Bold, 35k
Chase Freedom (Converted from WaMu VISA) from '07, 5.99% + Prime, 30k CL

Junk I don't use
BoA Susan G. Komen Cash Rewards (converted from World Points MC) from '07, 7.9% Fixed APR, 30k CL
Discover IT (Converted from Discover More) from '08, 5.74% + Prime, 20k CL
AmEx Clear from '07, 4.99% + Prime, 10k CL
All 3 credit scores are over 800.

My card finally showed up today; it is a pretty snappy looking card I must say. When I called to activate it I also inquired about my APR, my jaw dropped when she told me it was 19.99%. I'm sure at some point I was aware of this I just never paid attention b/c this has always been a PIF card for me to maximize points.

I asked for a reduction and she knocked 5.5% off to make it 14.49%--better but still pretty high. I'll call again in six months and try again. I only use this card for the 5% cash back bonus categories and an occasional ShopDiscover purchase.

I redeem all my cash back for iTunes gift cards. In a roundabout way it makes it feel like I am getting free music and movies :-)

Gee, that's better than me. Since you're a product change, they have the flexibility to do stuff like that. Since I'm a new customer, they won't consider changing my CL or interest rate (20.99%) for the first six months. I'll see if they can do anything round about Labor Day.

I converted from More to IT, I didn't want to give up my More design but so far I'm liking the IT card. I'm still stuck at 13.99% APR though!
