Accepted for the IT card!

Postby mattyfo0z » Fri Jan 11, 2013 2:51 pm

Got a pre-approval in the mail, gave them a call and got approved for a $2K CL!

My only other cards at the moment are a Capital One Journey (first card, 2 years old, $300 CL), and a Chase Freedom (second card, 6 months old, and $500 CL). Needless to say, I'm happy to have a larger credit card now so my utilization % goes down. I used my Chase card very often for the cashback and had to pay it off twice a month sometimes, so my utilization was always high -- won't have a problem with this Discover card!

Oh, and to give some background info: I'm 21 years old and the only other source of credit is from my car loan.

Congrats!

Any chance you could provide a little info on your rough score or # of inquiries?

Thinking of applying for this card myself...

Um, not the Cap One of course, 300CL and it's two years old, don't think that will ever increase.....

Last time I checked was actually the first time I checked and that was last year right before I got my Freedom card, and it was like a 682 I believe. I hope by now it's gone up a little as I've been using that card very often and pay it off in full every month, as well as my car payment.

Thought I'd update the thread and post that my credit score was 709 - big improvement from the last time I checked last year! I'm so happy. It was pulled from Equifax.
