Just got approved for It card!

Postby Germanmuscle » Fri Jan 04, 2013 9:49 am

Just applied for the discover it card for students and got approved. Although I didn't get instantly approved, I had to call and verified my enrollment. I absolutely love the customer service already. They pick up right away and got me approved in just minutes! Looking forward to do business with discover.

Congratulations!

Stay responsible and mark down the date of 6 months and cross your fingers for a CLI :)

I am a new Discover member as well, and thus far in my customer service dealings I am BLOWN AWAY by the service. It is leagues ahead of the service I have had with my bank, Chase, AmEx, or CapOne in the last 5-6 years.

I was also approved for the student card with a limit of $1,500. I had to call in as well but they just asked me how school was going and then put me on hold. A few minutes later they tell me I am approved and 2 day express me my card to my home address (I do not have proof that I live in my apartment). I should be getting it this Wednesday since it got to my house today and my parents are shipping it to me.

Since I have been with Discover they have been nothing but great to me, probably the best customer service I have ever experienced. It doesnt hurt that all of their reps are in America
March 2011- Wellsfargo Cash Back College Card
May 2012- Chase Freedom
May 2012- Discover IT
August 2012- American Express Blue Cash Everyday

Congrats! I was approved for the regular It card 2 weeks ago. I'm really enjoying it so far. Although it doesn't seem to be as widely accepted as AmEx.

It is the same with me. I have found a few places that do not accept it such as Pizza Hut and I have to use my debit card. For the most part most of the big chains take it.
