I decided to apply for the Discover IT and was instantly approved and given a $4500 CL. I didn't apply for it because it looks cool, but rather to diversify a bit. Originally I was going to apply for a Discover in June when 2 inquiries would be gone, but I just decided to go ahead and do it.
Up until this point, I have only had Visa and Amex cards, so I thought adding a Discover would be a good move. Additionally, Sam's Club only takes Master Card and Discover here, so I may consider a membership there now. Other than Discover being reputably stingy with their credit limits, is there anything else I should keep in mind/need to know about doing business with them?
Congratulations on getting your Discover Card. I have been a cardmember with Discover for almost two years and during this time, I have noticed that the CRS's are both friendly and helpful and more importantly, ALL CALL CENTERS ARE RIGHT HERE IN THE UNITED STATES. The main reason for my getting this card is for use at Sam's Club since they do not accept American Express or Visa credit.
