Sure, with the Escape you get added insurance such as travel delay insurance where you get covered $150.00 per day for up to 3 days if you're flight is delayed. There's also the baggage delay insurance where you're covered up to 500.00 for travel essentials if you baggage is 3 hours late or more. Of course you do have to use the card for these benefits to apply. If you also decided to rent a car, Discover would provide "primary" coverage for up to $50,000, I could be mistaken, but most cards only have secondary coverage. The Escape also has a good trip cancellation insurance.
Don't get me wrong, the cards not perfect. One problem is Discover network still isn't quite strong out of the U.S. compared to the CapOne card, and also the first year fee isn't waived, however the signup bonus in the long run covers the annual fee for 4 years. CapOne I believe may have a better signup bonus, and Fedility Amex has none that I'm aware of. Also Discover has superior customer service compared to CapOne. I can't speak for the Fedility, but from hearsay, I've heard it's not that great.
From my personal experience as well, Ive had 8/10 places accept my Discover card (the only places I tend to have bad luck with is small businesses such as restaurants.). As for the shop Discover 5%, the Discover More/It card is free, so you might as well grab one too for the sole purpose of the rotating 5% and Shop Discover.
Almost forgot to mention with the Discover Escape miles program, you can link your card to Amazon, making 1 mile equal to .01. This makes the Escape more versatile than the CapOne Venture card.
