What is the major advantage for IT vs. More? I'm mainly looking for the 5% categories to go with my Freedom.

Active Cards:
Chase Freedom 10+10 Visa Signature ($9k Limit - 8/2012)
Chase Sapphire Preferred ($10k Limit - 2/2013)
Chase Ink Plus ($7k Limit - 2/2013)
Discover IT ($9.5k Limit - 10/2012)
AMEX Zync (No Pre-set Limit - 1/2010)
AMEX Blue Cash Everyday ($20k Limit - 1/2013 - Backdate to 1/2010)

It's the same card with the same categories. The IT comes with some fee relief - waiver of the first late fee, waiver of over the limit, etc. That's it. (Some people think it looks better. Subjective judgment, I think.)

So there is really no reason to get the More because the IT is the same with some added bonuses for late payments (ones that I'll never use). I guess I'll apply for the IT when I get home tonight.

Last question, do you think it'll impact the limit I'm offered on a BCE/BCP when I apply in January? Or will it help?

Should help. More credit avil = less utilization. And FYI, IT may be replacing more. Not confirmed but its a rumor I've been hearing around here at discover. Depending on the performance. But personally I would just go it. You may never be late but it is nice to have the fee waiver just in case.

Ok, I applied for the Discover IT and got approved for a $5k limit. I assume they gave me $5k because the Freedom has a $5k limit and they compete. Awesome setup. Now I just need a few more... BCE or BCP, US Bank Cash+ Visa Signature, CSP, and MAYBE some others if I find a way for them to fit into my spread nicely.

Just got an updated credit report. They pulled Equifax, which is great because TU has no inquiries, and Experian has 3 (1 is from 7/2011 though so it's not important)

Chase Freedom 10+10 Visa Signature ($9k Limit - 8/2012)

Only other benefit I can see with the IT card is that they expedite sending the card to you. 1-3 days I believe. (and fancy packaging)
Credit Union Visa: $5000 (4/11)
Discover IT $1750 (10/12)
Chase Freedom $1500 (3/13)
BofA Credit Card: $18.7k (1/02) (Authorized User)
Secured CapOne Visa: $300 (5/12)
Banana Republic Store: $1200 (5/11)
Express Next A-List: $1340 (6/11)

FICOS (as of 3/15/12):
EQ 762
EX 731
TU 747
