If Discover had competently processed my product change request made weeks ago, I would have had this card before all of you people and would have had days to gloat. I hope you can appreciate the injustice of this.
American Express: Blue Cash Preferred (groceries, 6%; gas, department store, 3%); Gold Delta SkyMiles (Delta Air Lines, 2 miles/dollar, free checked bag).
US Bank: Cash+ (utilities, phone, internet, restaurant, 5%; drugstores, 2%).
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (everything, 2%); Fidelity Visa (everything, 1.5%).
Chase: Freedom (rotating, 5%); Amazon (Amazon.com, 3%); PriorityClub (IHG hotels, 5 points/dollar); Sapphire (not in use).

*All cards are registered with PriorityClub IDine program for 8 points/dollar at participating restaurants.

Oh and a metal made Discover it will be icing on the cake.

Metal card would be sick as hell. But I've been hearing that EMV will be up sometime in 2013. And yes I am a employee :)

One more question, I know that Discover relies on Diners Club for international acceptance. Does it apply to online as well?

One of the website in Taiwan accepts Diners Club, but does not mention acceptace on Discover. Will it work?

UPDATE: Card Received

Postby ReadyTuna25209 » Tue Aug 28, 2012 10:10 pm

I posted two days ago after applying for the Discover It card. I received the card early this afternoon and everything has been good so far. I'm not going to post photos since the results are synonymous with the photos on this topic already. The presentation is well designed and I'm glad they took the time to put together a great package for this card, especially a big Thank You card. The card is not as thick as one poster mentioned or it could be just me. It's plastic and it'd be great if it was made out of metal, but I can live without it. I checked the documents that came with my card and I am glad Discover honored the terms they originally offered in my pre-approval letter.

While I was waiting for my card to arrive yesterday, Discover kept me updated with emails throughout the day on the shipment of my card, the establishment of my online account, etc. I appreciated being able to play around with the online interface before my card arrived. Customer service has been so great and I'm looking forward to seeing how well this card may grow with me.

Also, turns out my credit score is 733 from TU instead of 706. :oooo
AMEX Blue Sky (November 2012)
Citi Diamond Preferred MC (August 2012)
Discover It (August 2012)
Orchard Bank MC (June 2011)
Bank Americard Cash Rewards (September 2010)

Current scores: 715 TU / 724 EQ / 724 EX

Finally! Glad you got IT, after all the hassle, and the card didn't end up lost in postal land somewhere.

lol, I have had it for a while now and haven't even used it yet. I just have it to have it I guess because the tiers suck. But really I never even expected to ever use this card anyways because I got it for a sole purpose of paying my college tuition bills.
