Well CC, then it really won't do anything for me as I never go over the limit and never pay late. I guess if the rewards are better that would be worth a look. But if they are like Clear and Simplicity, that might be hoping for too much.

Where did you find that info CC? I hope it is better than that. I pay my bills on time and want to earn rewards. Those cards are for people that can't manage credit in my opinion.

I'm less excited about this card after reading the info from that link. If the cash rewards aren't good, I won't be interested.

I like how it looks

this may be a dumb question, but in that post it said that the account number will be on the back of the card. I see in pictures that the chase sapphire is like that to, but is it just the sapphire preferred that has the account number on the back or is it on the front for both versions and chase just leaves it blank like they do for the freedom on the stock photos

May 2012- Chase Freedom
May 2012- Discover IT
August 2012- American Express Blue Cash Everyday

Some people had posted it on MyFico. Membersince99 posted a link here above your posting that pretty much confirms what I had read in MyFico. I find it disturbing that these credit card companies are trying to be different by putting account numbers on the back of the card or making verticle cards. Chase is the worst offender but most people find it compelling. I think it is dreadful and further proof that Americans are like cats at Christmas. See something new and shiny and they go ape over it.

I would be more impressed if they would get rid of the tiers below 1% and have groceries for a full quarter like Chase Freedom. I like what Discover has been able to accomplish in their 26 year history; but making a card with the account number on the back and waiving fees that one should never allow themselves to be charged in the first place is disappointing.

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. I don't pay fees anyway, so this card would be a waste of time. Amex cards are the only one that look cool to me. Everything else is just so so compared to those.

It's nearly identical to the Discover More card... I'm struggling to find a difference... minus you earn cash instead of points...

Well, that's a bummer.

Think I'll stick with my More card.

I was hoping they'd remove the caps, or juice up the rewards a bit. Seems like if you have a More already you use responsibly that there is no reason to go for this card. Maybe they are targeting this card at more of the subprime market.
