Automatic credit limit increases?

Postby Bobzig » Wed May 30, 2012 4:20 am

I've had my Discover More card for 6 months now. Last month they increased my credit limit $500 ($3500 now). My question is when should I expect another credit limit increase?

That's a good question. I just posted that after having my Escape card three months I received notification that they had increased my limit $500.00. I have never heard of a limit increase in such a short period after opening an account. I would be interested to know what experience other cardholders have had.

How do you like your Escape card randeman? It is the only 2% card that sams club accepts, and I may apply for it soon

I like the card and the customer service is excellent. The card is meant mainly for people who travel a lot, and while I don't travel as much as I used to, I like earning 2 points per dollar...and the $60 annual fee, at least to me, is worth it.

Even if you don't travel alot, you can still redeem miles for gift cards. If I didn't have so many cards, I would have switched to the escape from the miles card a while ago. The double miles on travel, restaurants, and entertainment suit me fine.

I agree, I like the card too (Escape) and the Customer Service is flat out the best I've seen. Discover is one of the few companies out there that's really worth getting in with.

I was told by a rep that they ask you to wait at least 30 days from your last increase to ask for another one. I too will agree that Discover customer service is unmatched.
