Looks like the secured card is open to all

Discover now has there secured card as an option to apply for online instead of just a counter offer.

I think this card will be hard to get for most rebuilders in spite of what it says this card is for. Or at lest hard for the rebuilders starting below a 600 Fico.

I wish I could have gotten a secured card when I first applied, instead of reapplying with a joint applicant. Discover doesn't handle joint accounts well.
Wallet: Prestige CSP SchwabPlat Freedom It Hyatt SallieMae AAPlat
SD: Arrival BrooksBros BCE ED IHG
Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

When I first applied they countered with a joint account. I turned that down though, wanted my own account. Then they SP my report every two weeks like clock work for the next two years until the double cash promo drew me in to apply once more.

Happy with the IT card now. To think they used to call this product the more card. Oh well the double cash back makes this so much more interesting. :)

No one handles joint accounts well. Banks, consumers, no one.
