You know that's a good point - why not? My ONLY fear would be if we get too greedy, they notice, and shut us down (take it back).

I'd LOVE to get 20k as well, but frankly 10k would be terrific with Discover. But I'll probably keep going too. I'm guessing before we can hit 20k they'll put a stop to it.

@Nixon: Discover does seem a bit skimpy on the CLI's. But Imma give it a shot when day 16 comes around. Doesn't really hurt to try once.

You don't see a lot of 20k limit Discovers cards. I think the 10k-15k is on the high side for them. I'm curious as to what file warrants 20k from them.
Chase Freedom $9k~~Chase Sapphire Preferred $6.5k~~Amex Blue Cash Preferred $12.4k~~Citi Double Cash $4.7k

Income and usage enough to make them think you'll make them money.

15k is on the high side for them. I know someone who still has an original More card from the 90s whose limit is 15k

20k Discovers or higher are out there but they seem very rare. I've seen I think maybe 1 of them on FICO where someone had something like 25k or 30k. That's as high as I've seen over there. I didn't even think Discover gave a limit that high.

They are as they will tell you, conservative. But they've sure loosened up with the CLI button lately. My only fear is they might turn around and decide to call letting us have these CLIs a "glitch" or something, even though they know damn well people are doing it, and yank it back. That would get them instant sock drawer status with me. It's one thing to not let me have it, but don't let it go through THEN for no reason yank it away.

Mine is more than that. I know a number of people with limits like that, but they're not the sort of people that feel the need to tell random people their credit limits.
Discover do seem to be sensitive to other debt when issuing limits,

I tried it yesterday (15 days) and it didn't work, but this morning it did work so it really does appear to be 16 days as that has worked multiple times now. Just got bumped another 1k today. If I can get one more like that it will be over 10k.

Just did my final credit limit request on my Discover and went up another 1.5k making my credit limit 10k. Tried it for my brother, but request went to pending. Hope that didn't give him a hard pull.

I have a $15k limit with them and I've only had my card since November '14, though I've had credit for 25 years now, just not with Discover. This Friday will be my 16th day since I tried last, which I received a 4k bump then.
