I've been told all along they will be PIN, but last night I was told that no PIN will be required, even at an ATM. Something isn't adding up.

I hope that's the case. I don't like the inconvenience of requiring a PIN.

Could turn out to be either one really. Considering I've been told PIN twice and siggy twice.

Honestly, Discover will most likely be chip and signature. There's no real business reason to go in the opposite direction from ~99% of the US card market. Outside the US (Diners Club and the few banks that issue Discover branded cards)? Yeah, they'll be PIN.

Just disable cash advance function then. This is what I do with my Discover it. Now whenever I insert the card to an ATM and enter the PIN, choosing whatever option will result in a decline.
Citi Forward Visa $5000 10/2012 | American Express Blue Cash Everyday $8000 2/2014 | Discover it $7000 5/2014
Chase Freedom Visa Signature $7000 6/2014 | Citi ThankYou Premier Visa Signature $5000 1/2015
All EMV.

Are we not protected from fraudulent use/charges? Nearly all ATMs have cameras that show the user. Considering I've never used the cash advance feature on any of my cards I think I could win a case. Disabling the feature is another option as well, as someone else mentioned.
